About the Author
Mike McRoberts discovered the Arduino in 2008 while looking for ways to connect a temperature sensor to a PC to make a cloud detector for his other hobby astrophotography. After a bit of research, the Arduino seemed like the obvious choice, and the cloud detector was successfully made, quickly and cheaply. Mike s fascination with the Arduino had begun. Since then he has gone on to make countless projects using the Arduino. He had also founded an Arduino starter kit and component online business called Earthshine Electronics. His next project is to use an Arduino-based circuit to send a high altitude balloon up to the edge of space to take stills and video for the heck of it, with the help of the guys from the U.K. High Altitude Society and CUSF. Mike s hobby of electronics began as a child when the 100-in-1 electronics kits from Radio Shack made up his Christmas present list. He started programming as a hobby when he obtained a Sinclair ZX81 computer as a teenager. Since then, he s never been without a computer. Recently, he s become a Mac convert. He is a member of London Hackspace and the Orpington Astronomical Society and can regularly be found contributing to the Arduino Forum. He also likes to lurk on IRC in the Arduino, high altitude and london-hack-space channels (as earthshine ), and on Twitter @TheArduinoGuy. Unfortunately, a lot of the chapters start meandering into other topics, but nonetheless they are great vignettes about some of the best quarterbacks in the league and one primarily a backup quarterback (Holcomb) who Arians got the most out of.What is the most important attribute for an NFL quarterback? First, it’s brains. To be successful in the NFL a quarterback doesn’t have to be the best athlete on the field, but he probably has to be one of the smartest. The ability to watch film, read defenses in fast paced live action, and get the ball where it needs to be with accuracy and velocity ultimately is the key. Arians walked around both players’ campuses incognito and just asked around about what people thought of them. Everybody had good things to say about Manning and nothing bad, while nobody had anything but bad things to say about Leaf. So that ingrained in Arians a clear lack of leadership and we see what happened to Ryan Leaf.Overall this was an interesting book about NFL quarterbacks, just annoying disjointed and unorganized at times.

Bruce Arians has worked with several of the best quarterbacks in the game. This book is a fascinating look at the early days of quarterbacks such as Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Ben Rothlisberger, and Carson Palmer. Being an Arizona Cardinals fan helps, but Arians has had an unusual journey to his current head coach job and I think any football fan would enjoy reading this book. I highly recommend it.

I totally enjoyed this book. BA gave me a rare insight into working with some of the greatest qb's ever in the history of the NFL. It's easy to see why he has such a great reputation with his players. He shares why he treats all around him like family. What a rare and totally refreshing thing to read in this jealous and dog eat dog world. I'll bet you'll have as much fun as I did reading it.

This is an interesting and fun read. Bruce and his wife Chris both enter into the conversation with their comments along with those of the several NFL quarterbacks that Arians has coached over the years.

For long suffering Cardinals fans Bruce Arians has been a godsend as a coach. He has built a perennial winner in Arizona and entirely re shaped the team culture. This book provides excellent insight into his coaching and lifestyle philosophy.

What a great story. BA hits a home run with his down to earth approach to coaching and his forthright attitude on life. There are lessons here that everyone will enjoy. Being an Arizona Cardinals season ticket holder makes this story even sweeter. Loved the book!

I love Bruce's candidness. The book is a fun and easy read. You don't have to be a football coach to enjoy this book.

Although I'm female, I enjoyed reading about this phenomenal coach and his methods for recognizing quarterback potential and then developing it. My husband is reading it now.

About the Author
Born and raised in New York City of Puerto Rican decent William J. Irizarry Jr. was introduced to the mysteries of Orisa by his first Padrino (Godfather) Cuban born and former Chef to Fidel Castro, Babalorisa Ramon Torres Olo Obatala Ibae. William grew up in the New York City Housing Projects where he spent the majority of his upbringing with childhood Friend/Cousin Alexander LaSalle founder and musical director of Alma Moyo, percussionists, singer, song writer and Bakonfula in the Palo Mayombe tradition. Alexander introduced William to the drum and music in general. They played for hours on end at all times of the day and night practicing Eggun and Orisha songs. It was William's passion for music that illuminated his path and fueled his desire in becoming an Aborisha. William was officially initiated into the Lucumi tradition at the age of fourteen when he received his Elekes/Collares (Beads), Orisa Olokun and Ibeji from Iyaloricha Maria Latimar Olo Yemaya of Bronx, New York. Less than one year later at the age of fifteen William received Awofaka (Mano de Orula) and Warriors (Orisha’s Eshu, Oggun, Ochosi and Osun) from Cuban Born Oluwo Moises Montesino OyekuPica of New York City. Three years later at the age of eighteen William traveled to Santos Suarez, Cuba where he was initiated in the mysteries of Orisha and Ifá. August 1998 William J. Irizarry Jr. became Awo Ni Orunmila, Iwori Rote, Ifá Alá godson of Oluwo Alberto Ofun Nalbe and Ojubon Oretes Ogbe Bara a first generation Babalawo within his family. Three months later William received Kuanaldo and Osain. William has dedicated his life to the study of Orisha & Ifá teachings and picking up and mastering the art of traditional beading along the way. William credits his love of art and beadwork to attending a beading seminar by artist Manny Vega hosted by the Caribbean Cultural Center in New York City and his love of music to his childhood friend Alexander LaSalle. Presently William is under the expert tutelage of Olofista Emilio Ogbe Unle of Orlando, Florida where he continues his lifelong study of Orisha & Ifá teachings, passing his knowledge onto his godchildren as well as his love of art and music.
